3 days. Every Eiffel Tower angle. Zero museum queues. No regrets.
Paris is everything the clichés promised and then some. The Eiffel Tower sparkling on the hour genuinely never gets old. No matter how many times you see it light up, it still stops you mid-sentence. That's Paris. It earns every bit of the hype.
We didn't follow a rigid day-by-day plan. We explored by neighbourhood, wandered when something looked interesting, doubled back to places we loved (Café Carette twice, more on that below), and skipped anything that required standing in a long line for something we could equally enjoy from outside. That approach worked perfectly.
Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel — walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, Trocadéro, and everything you'll spend most of your time doing. Location is the whole point.
We splurged on the Eiffel Tower view room — beautiful, genuinely stunning view. Honest reality: we were barely in the room, and when we were, it was so cold in January that the balcony was unusable. If you're debating the upgrade, know that you'll spend most of your Paris time on the streets, not in your room. Save the money for Café Carette instead.
We did. And we don't regret it. We found every possible angle and vantage point in the city and made the Eiffel Tower the thread that ran through all three days. If you love it the way we did, here are the best spots:
⭐ The sparkling moment: Every hour on the hour after dark, the Eiffel Tower does a full light show — thousands of gold lights flickering across the whole structure. It lasts about 5 minutes. No matter how many times you see it, it stops you every single time. Plan to be near the tower after dark at least once purely for this.
